After throwing the "Shot Seen Around The World" at the 2016 Beaver State Fling with his 168 gram Star Destroyer, it was a natural fit for last year's Tour Series disc. Who says Pro's only throw heavy discs? This year Philo went slightly heavier on his Star Destroyers to be a perfect balance between maximum distance fliers while still keeping tons of bite to cut through the wind. As a long time vet, shaving those few grams helps Philo keep up with all the big-bombing young guns on tour, and you may find these give you just a bit of extra distance as well. A substantial portion of each sale directly benefits Philo and his 2021 touring efforts.
The Destroyer is a very fast stable long distance driver. This disc is much like a faster Wraith, but with a little more high and low speed stability. Great disc for sidearm throwers and those with lots of power. Can handle headwinds and throws with off axis torque. Not suggested for beginning players
“The Destroyer has always been the standard when it comes to distance drivers. It has the perfect complement of rim size and controlled distance,” says Ricky Wysocki. The Destroyer is a great disc for sidearm throwers and those with lots of power. “In the past, I’ve had separate sidearm and backhand distance drivers. The Destroyer is so versatile, it’s one of the few discs I throw for both sidearm and backhand shots.”
